Yokota Air Base Spring Festival

DATE: Saturday, April 2, 2016

ACCESS GATE:  #17 East Gate (located Musashimurayama city side)

GATE OPEN HOURS: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The East gate will be open to pedestrian traffic from off base on Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Visitors can enjoy the street with 500 meters long along more than 40 years old cherry trees planted on both sides. 

There will be no vehicle/motorcycle parking available so local national guests should walk or take a Tachikawa bus from JR Ome Line’s Akishima Station.

Strollers, picnic sheet and small backpacks or purses are welcome.  



About 120 cherry trees with more than 40 years old are planted on both sides of the street.

Visitors can bring a picnic sheet and enjoy viewing the cherry blossom. 

We will have American and Japanese food/drink booths available for the visitors to purchase and stage performance (Hours: 11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.), kids events/play areas are scheduled during the event hours.


ACCESS (to the gate): 

JR Ome Line’s Akishima Station, Take a bus to Inadaira Koen stop (approx. 15-min)

Seibu Haijima Line’s Seibutachikawa station, approx. 20-min walk


Visitors should take the following into consideration before arriving:

- Photo identification with your nationality is required for visitors over 16 years old. 

- Visitors under 17 years old must be escorted by a responsible adult who is 18 years of age or older and not in high school.

- Any items being carried on base will be checked at the gate. Large Containers/bags, alcohol, glass bottles, toys cannot be brought on base. No off-base foods/drinks.

- No smoking in the festival areas. 

- Picnic sheet and small backpacks are welcome

- No public vehicle/motorcycle parking is available. 

- Bicycle parking will be available near the east gate during the event hours.

- No pets are allowed in the festival area.
